Unique “Surrea” vase by Wilhelm Kåge, in a captivating form of half a vase, decorated with an organic vine that contrasts with clean vessel. Glazed with white carrara glaze with brown and yellow decor.
The “Surrea” stoneware series was first introduced in 1940, inspired by purism and the work of Le Corbusier. It challenged the aesthetic ideals of the time and received both praise and critique. With time however, it became a Swedish stoneware classic.
