Rare “Argenta” stoneware vase by Wilhelm Kåge with a striking decor of a snake, beautifully executed. The green glaze has a pattern of horizontal stripes which is typical of the early “Argenta” pieces.

“Argenta” was introduced at the Stockholm exhibition in 1930 and became Wilhelm Kåge’s most widely appreciated and commercially successful line of decorative stoneware.
